Plasmonic metal?organic frameworks

چکیده

Plasmonic metal-organic frameworks are composite nanoparticles comprising plasmonic metal (NPs) embedded within a framework (MOF) matrix. As result, not only the functionalities of individual components retained, but synergistic effects additionally provide improved chemical and physical properties. Recent progress in MOFs has demonstrated potential for nanofabrication various nanotechnology applications. Synthetic challenges toward have been recently addressed, resulting new opportunities practical applications, such as surface-enhanced Raman scattering, therapy, catalysis. The impact key parameters (thermodynamic vs. kinetic) on synthetic pathways is reviewed, while providing insight into related structure-derived

Recent advances in carbon dioxide capture with metalorganic frameworks

Uncontrolled massive release of the primary greenhouse gas carbon dioxide (CO2) into atmosphere from anthropogenic activities poses a big threat and adversely affects our global climate and natural environment. One promising approach to mitigate CO2 emission is carbon capture and storage (CCS), in which ideal adsorbent materials with high storage capacity and excellent adsorption selectivity ov...

Drug delivery and controlled release from biocompatible metalorganic frameworks using mechanical amorphization

We have used a family of Zr-based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) with different functionalized (bromo, nitro and amino) and extended linkers for drug delivery. We loaded the materials with the fluorescent model molecule calcein and the anticancer drug a-cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid (a-CHC), and consequently performed a mechanical amorphization process to attempt to control the delivery of gues...

A thermodynamic tank model for studying the effect of higher hydrocarbons on natural gas storage in metalorganic frameworks

Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are promising materials for storing natural gas in vehicular applications. Evaluation of these materials has focused on adsorption of pure methane, although commercial natural gas also contains small amounts of higher hydrocarbons such as ethane and propane, which adsorb more strongly than methane. There is, thus, a possibility that these higher hydrocarbons will...

Mesoscopic constructs of ordered and oriented metal-organic frameworks on plasmonic silver nanocrystals.

We enclose octahedral silver nanocrystals (Ag NCs) in metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) to make mesoscopic constructs O(h)-nano-Ag⊂MOF in which the interface between the Ag and the MOF is pristine and the MOF is ordered (crystalline) and oriented on the Ag NCs. This is achieved by atomic layer deposition of aluminum oxide on Ag NCs and addition of a tetra-topic porphyrin-based linker, 4,4',4″,4‴-...

SELECTIVE GROUPOIDS AND FRAMEWORKS INDUCED BY FUZZY SUBSETS

In this paper, we show that every selective groupoid induced by a fuzzy subset is a pogroupoid, and we discuss several properties in quasi ordered sets by introducing the notion of a framework.
